Information You Submit
Entries sent through a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, the message itself is the information we receive and it is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may record ordinary log information, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of request. We review that information in aggregate for operation and traffic measurement. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Data
Limited data supports operation, error correction, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to county or state portals, archives, libraries, and third-party search services. Their own terms and privacy notices govern information submitted after leaving this domain. The same applies to sponsored result services provided by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Companies that host or support the service can process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by law.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain handling of personal data. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, describes rights for covered businesses. Because this service retains very little visitor information, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Texas, Cameron County, or city custodians remain outside our control and must be addressed to that custodian.
Policy Updates
A revised policy will be posted here. Continuing to use the service after publication means the revised policy applies.
